Meet Kayla

Well, hello! 👋🏼 I’m Kayla, and I’m a little obsessed with my hometown, Kenosha. Thanks so much for stopping by! 

A little about me: I was born and raised in Kenosha County and have spent most of my life bouncing between living in the city and “West of the I.” I’m a marketer at heart, an avid hiker and runner, and, most recently, a new mom to a baby girl.

I created The Kenosha Explorer because, as a new mom, I’ve been eager to explore more of my community. My husband and I tend to stick to our favorite spots, but I can’t help but wonder what hidden gems we might be missing — places we could share with our daughter someday! Through this blog, I hope to document my discoveries and build comprehensive lists of similar restaurants, shops, and experiences, making it easier to compare options.
